BioI'm a writer of character-driven SF. I grew up reading my step-father's collection of golden age science fiction, which had a tremendous influence on my development. I've also been a part of veterinary medicine, both small animal and equine, for nearly thirty years. Most of my experience is in specialty surgery practice. If it involves slicing and dicing, I'm there! Outside of writing and medicine, my interests lie in the sciences, nature, and animal behavior, including psychology.
